Mark Siegelman, MD, PhD

Postdoctoral research position available studying the role of lymphocyte adhesion molecules in the regulation of autoimmunity and inflammation.  Candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent with expertise in cellular and molecular immunology, and experience in the handling of laboratory mice, the processing of human blood samples, RT-PCR, flow cytometry, and in vitro cell culture. Ongoing studies will use both cellular and molecular methods to characterize adhesion molecules as markers of regulatory and activated T cells and their application to the control of human autoimmune diseases and mouse models thereof (Immunity,20:455-465, 2004 (Editorial pp. 361-362); Blood,107:619-627, 2005).  Additional references may be found in research interests.
